Blue Ribbon Winner

I'm excited to share the news - just found out I won a Blue Ribbon 1st Prize for my watercolor painting, "Myah" in the Wilson County Fair.

Children's figures are such wonderful subjects. I have a grandson who loves the American Flag and wears red, white and blue every chance he gets. Here's my Summer watercolor of his little feet wearing his red, white and blue flip flops. This is a 2nd rendition. My daughter-in-law has the original.

Healthy Cooking Class

I attended a “Healthy Cooking Class” yesterday, hosted by my friend, Linda McClanahan. We all had a great time, learned a few things, enjoyed delicious food and I got to share a ukulele song at the end. Here are a few pictures that Linda took. If you're wondering, I'm the one with my mouth open!

Old Hickory Art Show - 2016

       There's a tradition in Old Hickory, Tennessee - the Old Hickory Art Show, held yearly in the Fall at the Art Center located at 1308 Fuller Street. The Old Hickory Art Center is a unique building with a history. It was built in the 1930s for children to attend whose parents worked at the Dupont Old Hickory Plant. The building was restored and is now home for many artists that attend classes and paint on a daily basis. As you can see, we are blessed to have so many talented artists who work in many different mediums.
